Whether you’re a self-proclaimed chef or an amateur cook, Whisk offers all the required tools for your baking and culinary needs. In 2012 Whisk opens in Flatiron after being favored by Brooklynites since 2008. Manhattanites can now experience the same enchanting and accommodating baking store, sought for its complete range of kitchenware and tabletop necessities, alongside cookbooks, hard-to-find basics and unique specialty items.

Knowledgeable and experienced in the culinary field, Whisk staffs a creative team ready to assist and listen to all customer requests. Whisk's Manhattan location, with its inviting window displays and adorable chalkboard walls, holds an intoxicating atmosphere of well-organized shelves full of kitchen wonders. Exploring the brightly colored baking room at the rear of the store will make you feel like a kid in a delectable candy shop. The store aims for environmentally friendly products, as well as replacing typical plastic bags with basic brown paper shopping bags, in addition to selling re-usable Baggu bags at the counter. And if you’re a fan of the beloved1960s celebrity chef and television personality Julia Child, you’ll love their graphic Julia canvas totes created by Whisk's customer, local graphic poster designer, Jay Morris.

Whisk carries many one-of-kind items hand-made by local artists, such as napkin rings by Brooklyn Rehab and tea towels designed by Brooklyn artist Claudian Pierson. Made by Whisk’s own Alejandra Remijio, is Copper Colored Gals Designs, a travel-inspired line of delicate table linens in exquisite fabrics sold exclusively at Whisk. Alongside these local goodies you’re sure to be impressed with their bar-ware area, equipped with an ambitious selection of small batch bitters to spice up your cocktails or afternoon champagne. Here you can find other local providers with bitters produced by award-winning New York City bartender Dale Degroff, Brooklyn Hemispherical Bitters and Hella Bitters. or get an overseas taste from stock jars of maraschino cherries direct from Italy. Still, no Whisk shopping trip can be complete without checking out the Replicator by MakerBot--a 3-D printer that creates novelty custom cookie cutters, exclusively at their Manhattan location. With an image of your choice, the program enables a scan and a 30 minute creation process that’ll dazzle your eyes--all cutters are made from BPA-free plastic and orders take two to three days to complete.

Whisk is a business with a goal to not only please its customers but to benefit the community as well. Every year on August 15th, Whisk holds a birthday celebration in honor of their cooking idol, TV chef and author Julia Child, who is responsible for introducing to Americans the revision of complex French recipes along with the French whisk. Whisk offers discounts to their customers and donates a percentage of the proceeds to a food related charity of their choice. And at least once a month you can catch a free in-store cooking demo and pick up some new cooking skills, or find tips through their website blog and YouTube videos. Past demos include cocktail and seafood guides.

No matter what culinary skills you may have, indulge yourself with a shopping trip to Whisk or create a gift registry filled with dreamy treasures. You’ll find a pleasant experience that’ll fulfill all your cooking desires.
