KINGS COUNTY GENERAL STORE SETS UP SHOP IN BROOKLYN OFFERING LOCALLY PRODUCED WARES FROM OVER 30 BROOKLYN BASED COMPANIES.
The monthly market, which launches Sunday April 25 from 12 pm –5 pm at Southpaw, located at 125 Fifth Ave in Park Slope, aims to promote Brooklyn based companies who produce
locally.

The lineup includes founder, Staci Leatherland of Mifflin Jewelry, who lives in the neighborhood. Aaron Ruff of both Digby and Iona and design trio You And Me The Royal will show the collections designed in his Boerum Hill studio. Williamsburg based Swedish apparel designer H. Fredriksson will offer sculptural printed silk dresses and separates. Eponymy Boutique in Park Slope will have designer and vintage accessories at discounted prices. Corrente will be showing their line of leather handbags made in their studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yards and Patsy’s Butter Cookies will provide sweets baked in Bed-Stuy using old family recipes.

In addition to jewelry, apparel and handbags the market offers artisanal food and baked goods, letterpress cards, pottery, handcrafted soap, perfumes and more. Music all afternoon provided by DJ Mikey Palms and friends from Southpaw and East Village. Radios Chances With Wolves. Gift bags stuffed with local goodies for the first 50 shoppers, drink specials, good coffee, pinball and a photobooth round out the day.
