Doggy Style is more like a canine department store, catering it's no-frill concept to the downtown dog and an owner who insists only on the highest quality professional grooming, merchandise and cuisine for their dogs. Owner, Andy Schulman handpicks every product for the store, so while there is a large selection it is apparent a lot of care goes into choosing each and every leash, collar, shampoo, treat and toy. The store is impeccably organized with its industrial high-polished cement floors and natural light-wood cabinets that bring an openness to the space while maintaining a focus on the products. Personalized dog tags are available for custom order in a handful of unique styles with your choice of engraving on sterling silver, brass, aluminum, copper or stainless steel.

The boutique focuses on providing the healthiest and highest quality products for both dogs and their owners. The cute factor is employees are free to bring their dogs to work beside them and there is a small bin of stationary for pet birthdays, invitations and special announcements. Schulman warmly invites rescue dogs and their owners to a 10% discount on pet items.

Doggy Style caters to the Manhattan dog owner stocking a wide variety of pet products you won’t find anywhere else. What started as a 300-square-foot shop in SoHo is now the Barney’s of dog necessities and accessories. Owner Andy Schulman says when looking for the products carried in her store she looks for well-made items that cater to her own practical taste. With a focus on utilitarian merchandise of the best quality, Schulman also looks for products made in America by other small businesses.

Comfy eco-filled dog beds of all colors, sizes and designs line the back wall. You will also find a vast selection of frozen, freeze-dried and dehydrated food for your canine in unusual flavors including, but not limited, to banana, peanut butter turkey bacon, truffle mac & cheese, lobster, and blueberry Parmesan treats. All bones and dried treats are free of corn, wheat and soy, made from free-range animals without added hormones making them completely digestible for your dog.

The selection of play toys is vast and includes non-stuffed toys, hand-made fleece balls, and organic cotton rope tug toys. Minimalist leather leashes are available in all colors, ranging from neutral browns and blacks to fun bright neon colors. Exclusively sold at Doggy Style are Schulman's very own handsome leash designs made of sturdy equestrian leather, available in black and brown. An abundant wall of collars and harnesses can also be found as well as bowls, brushes, dog sweaters and down jackets, travel bags, and a variety of organic and safe shampoos and deodorizers.

Not only does Schulman carry products worthy of an international cult following, but she has an in-house grooming service that locals can’t get enough of. Skilled groomers, each with more than fourteen years of experience, are available seven days a week. Schulman extends a generous 10% store discount to rescue dogs (limited to products only.)

All the dogs that come through the store, whether they are just dropping in to pick up some treats or to be expertly pampered, are respected just as the workers would respect their own dogs. The high-end products and quality selection paired with Doggy Style's superb customer service is what keeps pet owners and their dogs coming back for more.
