Graphic tee shirts are an affordable fashion staple. With so many options out there today, they have to be witty, catchy, aesthetically pleasing and original in order to catch the average consumer's eye. In short they have to be Paste Tees.

Eclectic, unique, humorous, stylish. The list of descriptions for Jason Laurits’ Paste line goes on and on. Owner and designer Laurits puts in enough effort to make his tees stand out among the sea of tee shirt lines which consumers find themselves drowning in. His shirts have a unique subtlety in both the message they deliver and the limited look of the tees, so as not to overwhelm. The graphics on the shirts are the offspring of Laurits’ limitless imagination which never follows a beaten path.

All Paste shirts are handmade in Brooklyn, New York. Laurits is the creative driving force behind the line. Hands on with every aspect of production, Jason makes all the designs and sets up the silk screens for his screeners to run the shirts through as well as setting up sample shirts and overseeing the first sample production. The tee shirts are made with 100% pre-shrunk enzyme washed cotton that is produced in the United States.

Laurits is a self taught entrepreneur. As a former lead singer in an electronica band, he taught himself how to silkscreen in order to make posters for his New York shows. Delivering a more European sound to listeners, he moved to London in the summer of 2004. During his stay in London to produce his demo, Laurits found himself in need of an income so he bought a batch of blank tee shirts and began screening them with graphics. His designs were met with such success that he decided to promote them at Spitafield’s Market in London’s East End, a popular fashion market where young designers take their first steps into the world of design.

From such humble origins emerged Paste, which today ships its clothing out to several cities throughout the globe. Though Laurits’ full collection of more upscale menswear titled Plaster was discontinued at the beginning of the recession, he is now looking to expand Paste clothing in new directions. After discontinuing Plaster, Laurits was able to concentrate on producing more manageable batches of his Paste t-shirts at a lower price point. Now, Laurits has arrived at a point where he can begin to take Paste Tees to new limits. Paste’s fall collection will feature a cotton flannel button down available in five colors as well as a pull over sweater available in two colors to complement the stunning array of male and female tees. The button up will be priced around $110, sweaters at $130, and tees at $35.

Paste is the perfect choice for the consumer who has a sense of humor and doesn’t like things just for the sake of their “coolness". Its unprecedented designs are sure to sit well with anybody who likes creative originality. From teens to people into their 30s, those who care about fashion and maintain modesty as well as a laid back attitude are sure to be sporting Paste tees.
