Chisholm Larsson Gallery, a poster shop located in Chelsea, is home to over 50,000 original vintage prints, ranging from modest to extravagant in both price and size. Their unique collection consists of images from movies and film, sports and politics, war propaganda, and pop culture. While some of their vintage pieces date back as far as 1890, they also offer some more contemporary images. Gallery owners Robert Chisholm and Lars Larsson began their business selling posters among a more general collection of antique objects, and by 1974 they were specializing in posters alone. Since, they have spent over 30 years traveling the globe building up their collection to its current stature. Because most of the vintage pieces have been folded and creased, the gallery will offer restoration services to their clients –restoring posters on acid free paper and mounting them on linen backing. The restoration process smooths out the posters to prep them for framing. Poster print sizes begin at 1 sheet American standard, 27 x 40 inches, and span up to 24-sheet size. Customers can browse the Chisholm Larsson collection both in their store and on their website, which allows buyers to sort by category, designer, year, price, and country.
