Capture Parisian charm at Maison 140, where owner, Ramsey Marc, has recreated a marketplace of hand-selected furniture, art and decor direct from France. Delightful pieces depicting rustic charm and retro chic as well as modern elegance are chosen by Ramsey himself.
So who is Maison 140's perfect patron? Anyone shopping for a special gift or to decorate their home throughout in elegant French style. Delightful vibrant home accents for an inspired lifestyle can be found in the way of pretty trivets, sachets, candlesticks, mirrors, photo frames, and cozy knitted throws. Bathroom and bedroom items include accessories for a special touch, such as demure animal shaped guest soaps and cast iron multifunctional reproduction wall hooks - original French designs from the early 1900 - 1960s. A few other items to be considered for the master suite include European sheets, towels and pillows, exquisite enameled soap dishes and antique reproduction lamps made with old world construction. For the customer who is shopping for that special item, they will find what they are seeking under the distinct black and white striped awning of this Chelsea-based boutique. The store is a feast of color, style, and fragrance for the five senses.
One piece worthy of distinction and mention is the Tam Tam stool from the Cote France Furnishings line. Famous photographer Moris Renoma's photography lives on the surface of the Tam Tam. Serving as a cocktail table as well, the top can be opened to store small items inside. On the decor side, Maison 140 offers black and white porcelain French Guinea-hen decorative pieces in different sizes, rich mohair throws in soft colors, cast iron French Urns, and hurricane light shades ringed in wire.
The French boutique offers linens as well as vibrant colored cutlery and tabletop items such as cups, pitchers, and bowls. Finally, there are Luxury vegetable based hand-made French bath soaps made by the oldest soap making family in France, each individually wrapped with intriguing fabrics. Function and beauty are one, in the elegant Lampe Berger, available in designs to satisfy individual taste, along with a large selection of Berger's fragrant oils promising to purify and cleanse air in delicious flavors like Grapefruit Passion, Fresh Eucalyptus, and Lavender Fields.
Maison 140's website reveals a selection of what the store offers, but to truly discover the gems in Ramsey's carefully curated collection, a trip to 9th and 19th is due. Les Interieurs par Ramsay are a delightful slice of European lifestyle in your home.
