Pearl River Chinese department store, once a long standing New York institution had to close it's doors back in December 2015 due to real estate inflation. It has now resurfaced down in Chinatown at a much smaller location — an edited version of the former glorious Pearl River. Unfortunately the new store lacks the overload of dusty stock and the amount of curious item's that would look forward to browsing in anticipation.
