You will be met with an array of beautifully crafted handmade clothing and leather purses when you enter Marrakech, a tailor shop operating in the East Village for the last 15 years. Fattah, the owner and man responsible for this amazing shop, is not only a custom clothier but a tailor, dressmaker and designer. From tailor-made suits to custom dresses and purses to non-traditional bridal gowns, Fattah can do it all. He has been specializing in the construction and design of clothing for men, women and children for over 35 years.
Fattah can create just about anything given the proper measurements and an inspiring photo. In addition, he can replicate aged garments. His specialty, however, lies in leather and suede. Many of his orders come through the mail. Customers often send Fattah their old jeans to be used as a pattern for the making of a pair of custom leather pants. In addition to custom work, the fabric quality, stitching, pockets and lining of the garments created by Farrah are well worth the costs. Customers may bring in their own fabrics if they chose or ask that Fattah do the shopping for them. A selection of either sued or leather may be made from a swatch book or customers can provide their own materials.
Marrakech has been featured in Lucky Magazine, the Village Voice and Allure Magazine. Please phone for your private consultation.
