Voted Best Wine Specialty Store 2007 by the editorial staff of City Search, Bottlerocket Wines makes shopping for your next bottle almost as enjoyable as drinking it. Bottlerocket's user-friendly wine shop features a play area for the kids, treats for the dog, a selection of cookbooks, and of course, wine.
With a focus on education, the store groups a carefully edited selection of 365 wines according to theme, from food pairings to gift suggestions. Each wine is displayed with a printed card giving information on tasting notes, suggested food pairings, and other vital information. Ordering in tonight? Head to the display topped with the over sized Chinese take-out container to find five wine suggestions. Don't forget to grab one of the handy take-out menus featuring neighborhood restaurants. If you'd rather not shop for your wine based on theme, the store's entire stock is displayed on one wall by country of origin. A friendly sales staff is on hand to answer any questions or make suggestions.
Bottlerocket Wines features tastings every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8pm and offers free deliver between 9th and 29th Streets, and 3rd and 8th Avenues. Delivery for up to a case is available throughout Manhattan for $10.
