Mastihashop is the official store of a co-op from the island of Chios, Greece. It is the only shop in America to feature the unique product Chios Mastiha, which is a resin found exclusively on trees on the southern portion of Chios. The tree sap is quite special because it is a natural resource that possesses a healing power. It is the first natural chewing gum to be found in the world, it cures many digestive disorders and it can be used to heal skin. At mastihashop, you will find the resin in many natural products, ranging from cosmetic to food and beverage and seasonings, as well as toothpastes and mouthwashes. Chios Mastiha dates back to 400 B.C., and is in 75% of the products in the shop.
