Getting a haircut at Doodle Doo’s is more than just a haircut, it’s an experience. This unique children’s boutique is an entirely chemical free hair salon, toy store, and gift shop for babies, kids, and their moms. Owner Dana Rywelski, a former Montessori pre-school teacher and nanny, with a Masters in Early Childhood Education from New York University. As a nanny, Rywelski noticed the lack of children’s hair salons as well as the limited options for educational toys.

Doodle Doo’s salon and boutique was created from Rywelski's vision to make haircuts for children easy, painless, and fun. Children can get their hair styled while sitting in their parent's lap or in one of the fun kid-friendly salon chairs. Children may choose from a taxicab, car, or boat seat, each crafted from converted wooden rocking chairs, with a selection of educational DVDs, bubbles, and toys to engage and distract during the cutting process. Children experiencing their first haircut take home a certificate and a lock of their hair to commemorate, while for the older kids, the colorful salon styles and dazzles their hair with faux hawks, hair glitter, fun accessories, and barrettes. Though the salon caters to children, all haircuts are done by experienced professional stylists, with a separate shampoo and cutting station in the rear of the salon for adults and big kids.

The boutique is super kid friendly for children of all ages supplying a wide range of thoughtfully hand-picked toys unique from what is seen in other stores. Deviating from mainstream toys, Doodle Doo’s does their best to supply environmentally friendly toys, games and clothing as well as a diverse selection of educational and classic children’s books available in a number of languages.

Doodle Doo’s is the perfect place for children to come and let their imagination run wild with the abundant options of dress clothing, time-tested retro toys such as silly putty and The Game of Life. Give your child a memory to cherish forever by booking a special birthday party from one of the many themes suggested at Doodle Doo's. The boutique’s easygoing atmosphere makes for a trauma-free experience keeping both parents and children happy, occupied, and relaxed. Comfortable sofa along with WiFi is available for moms while they wait.
