“Excellent excursion for teens that love to thrift!"
Suzanne took my 19 and 17 year old daughters vintage/thrift shopping. The girls loved it! Suzanne took them to hidden gems we never would have found on our own as Toronto tourists. Suzanne was knowledgeable and friendly and both girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Both girls picked up several items that they love at a deep discount. Highly recommend for your teens that love to thrift!
Susannah was a wonderful guide and helped us find some great pieces! She took us to
several great stores! We had a great time and really enjoyed her company.
Suzanne did a great job showing us around the vintage world of New York. She was very
pleasant and knowledgeable and listened carefully to our input to shape the experience for
us.
We had a really great day with Suzanne taking us to a variety of places. Beacon’s Closet was our favorite! My 21 yr old daughter has a very alternative and unique style and she found several great pieces including a beautiful silk wrap skirt and some fun wingtip shoes. Suzanne made several suggestions and emailed after the fact with more locations for us to check out. Definitely recommend!
Wonderful tour, highly recommend Suzanne. She not only took us to fun shops to find wonderful clothes she took the extra time to show us around this great city.
“The NY you wouldn't see otherwise, the real thing."
Suzanne carries to you the deepest soul of New York: she is not "in" NY she "is" NY. She kindly accepted to adapt her tour to a somewhat younger audience, with a volatile and difficult to read taste, but managed to have everybody delighted both by the treasures they found and by the constant feeling of curiosity on what would be coming next. Besides the tour as such, the way Suzanne navigates the subway is almost magical, as if each single step she does had been tuned for years for maximum smooth efficiency.
What can I say about this tour, its more than a tour. It was personal shopping experience in NYC brought to life by Suzanne and I am just so glad it was with her. I had the privilege's of having her all to my self yesterday. We went to at least 5 different stores and with her knowledge of designers, fabrics, cut and garment care, I was able to get at least 5-7 outfits. She not only brings you to these stores but also helps find your outfits that fit your body shape, complexion and style. She also shares a list of other contemporary designer stores after the trip for shopping at your leisure. Honestly this was one of the best tours I have done and it felt like I was going shopping with a friend. Definitely recommend her if you enjoy shopping and wanting to experience the fashion scene in NYC!
This was a wonderful tour! My niece loves secondhand and vintage clothes. Our tour guide Suzanne was extremely knowledgeable and fun. She got to know my nieces taste and then took us on a journey through lots of NYCs vintage and secondhand shops. She helped my niece pick out some fun finds and my niece found plenty on her own.
Would definitely recommend this tour for the fashionistas or even the unfashionable like myself! Lol!
Suzanne was very helpful in planning this shopping trip. My teen daughter bought a few dresses, some nice shirts, a sweater and basic black jeans. I bought a nice wide leather belt and we both found accessories. Suzanne had a lot of great suggestions and she even offered a few suggestions that I had chosen for my daughter because I knew my daughter wouldn’t consider it if I suggested it. Suzanne can sift through quality easily. She’s clearly an experienced shopper and knows the good New York brands. The whole trip was delightful and definitely geared towards what we wanted to shop for. She also gave us a list of great shopping spots, but we definitely preferred the individualized tour. We would definitely do this trip again on another visit to New York City.
“Loved our shopping trip! Our tour guide was outstanding - personable, helpful tips, and made the trip enjoyable for teen"
Fantastic tour guide - took us to great spots for great finds. Catered to my teens style and needs. Highly recommend. Would absolutely book again next time we are in town.
Had the best day in New York City with my two teen daughters and Suzanne! The meet up location was perfect my teens were able to grab a snack and there was a bathroom. Walking distance from Penn Station. We chatted a bit with Suzanne so she got to know what the girls interest were and what they were looking for and then we set off. Suzanne did a great job of pulling pieces and taking us to many different stops she even gave us some historical fashion background and walked us by some of the murals that we have been wanting to see. She knows the best places to get snacks and at the end provided us with a list of stores and a map in case we wanted to come back on our own. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Guide was very knowledgeable and tailored it to our interests. My daughter was looking for a specific piece of clothing and she went home with exactly what she wanted.
Suzanne delivered a great shopping experience. There were 7 of us in our group and we all found something a little special. My daughter purchased great Knee high Vera Wang boots for under $30. Suzanne spotted them. She spotted a hand beaded Doreen Loh top for me for $50. Great array of shops. Don't miss this experience.
Suzanne is very knowledgeable and personable. I will definitely be going again! Great consignment and thrift shopping in NYC and Suzanne knows all the best shops. She also educates on what to look for and what are good prices.
We had a super fun shopping day in NYC with ZTrend! Suzanne knew all the best shops for my daughter to go thrifting and we even found some amazing stuff for me! She has a great eye for fashion and was energetic and fun to shop with. Loved the stores we visited and now we have a bunch that we will check out when we are back in the City!
NYC Second-Hand & Vintage Shopping Day, even in a light rain, was a delightful way to discover and enjoy shopping. Our guide Suzanne was charming and knowledgeable. Went home with 4 more pieces of clothing for less than $25. If you enjoy bargain hunting, don't miss. I'll book again on my next trip to NYC
Suzanne asked each person their interests and then did a great job picking stops. Everything was well timed. Suzanne was adept at juggling the stops, knowing when a quick bus ride would be faster, and routing our walks the best way, including a High Line jaunt. My purchases are happily on their way back to Florida.
I was thrilled to have ran across Suzanne's site when searching for the best vintage and thrift shops prior to our trip to NYC. This was the second time my teenage daughter, her best friend and I went to NYC to search out second hand and vintage stores. We did find some good spots our first go around, however, a lot of time was spent researching places only to discover they were either closed or not as great as we read. This time I decided to go to NYC with a well planned out agenda. Thats when I ran across Suzanne's site and I am SOO glad I did! She KNOWS New York and where all the hidden treasures are! Even better, she shares her great taste in fashion! She helped my daughter and her friend find pieces with suggestions how to pull the outfit together. She found me a top that I probably wouldn't have seen and it has ended up being one of my favorite tops! What better place to find quality second hand clothing and vintage treasures than New York City! And Suzanne knows them all! To top it all off, Suzanne will provide you with a print out of all the best shopping spots in New York...as you probably won't be able to hit them all on your shopping day. The list she provides is several pages and most of the places I would have never found in my own search. The girls and I agree, this was the best trip yet! We will definitely plan another NYC shopping day with Suzanne during our next trip to New York! If you are going to New York, book a shopping day with Suzanne. I promise you won't regret it!
Great tour! Suzanne was so knowledgeable and helpful. She asked about our style interests, and suggested pieces in the shops we visited. Her map was useful when we explored on our own afterwards as well. I loved the high/low combination of places we visited as well- I bought a shirt at one stop for $2.00, and a fabulous vintage blouse for $19.00 at another. My 17 year old stepdaughter and I had a fabulous time- thanks Suzanne!
We were a family of three, two teens. Suzanne had taken us to wonderful and unique vintage and thrift shops in which we have found not only beautiful and cheap vintage clothing but also amazing home decor house pieces. We really recommend this experience, also throughout the tour Suzanne had helped us looking around for our clothing preferences and sizing. Highly recommended! Thank you Suzanne!
We had a wonderful time shopping with Suzanne. She was so friendly and fun. My teenage Niece, Mom and I had a blast shopping with her. She really knows how to get in there and find some great stuff and for really good prices. Tell her what you are looking for and she will find it! At the end of the day we felt like we had been shopping with a friend.
The shopping tour with Suzanne was wonderful! At the beginning we have to emphasize the great communication with her. We communicated via e-mail as well as via WhatsApp. When we met Suzanne, there was immediately a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. She led us to a street with great vintage shops that we probably would never have found without her. Suzanne had a great eye for fancy, special clothes and high quality fabrics in the shops. She was there for us during the whole tour, answered our questions and told exciting stories about New York City. An all around successful tour, I can recommend it to everybody! Many thanks, Suzanne :-)
“Amazing Vintage/Second Hand Shopping Experience!"
Suzanne is so knowledgable, stylish, organized and pleasant. Very helpful and eager to help everyone in the group find what they are looking for. She pulls items for you, but if you don't like it, no problem. Easy to share information with you as you walk to the next location. I would recommend this to anyone that loves to shop for Vintage/Second Hand. There are tons of good deals up for grabs in NYC!
I took my daughter and her friend on the free second hand and vintage tour with Suzanne and it was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC! (Hamilton was the other). She took us to a variety of great stores, some more curated and costly and others more of a Goodwill-type thrifting experience. She was helpful throughout, showing the girls how to look for quality and suggesting pieces to try. We only spent an hour and a half but we got some great pieces--including a Yves St. Laurent scarf my daughter has wanted for ages--and had a total blast.
Suzanne was friendly, knowledgeable, easy to find and eager to help me find what I wanted. After warm exchanges of slutationsd, she immediately asked me if there was anything in particular I was searching for.I told her I love vintage coats and dresses specifically and I could see her mind calculating the distance from one destination to another that would surely have what I wanted. I was outdone with the choices offered and her willingness to style me. Thank you Suzanne!
Suzanne is a great guide. She is friendly, knowledgable, stylish and efficient. My friend and I visited NYC for three days and our shopping experience with Suzanne was a highlight. She guided us through half a dozen shops and I bought more than I expected. The clothes are all good quality - some used and some second hand and a couple of cute trays for my home. The map and shopping guide she provided us is very thorough. She even took us on the subway. It was nice to be in good hands and breeze through the city seeing the best second hand/vintage shops.
Both my daughter and I really enjoyed exploring the vintage side of Manhattan with the lovely Suzanne she was so friendly and knowledgeable tailoring our choices to a teenage vibe . We both picked up a couple of great pieces thank you so much again for being so patient
Suzanne has such an eye and is very creative. She is also a huge animal lover, as I am, so I felt very connected to her. I enjoyed the few hours we had shopping together and she introduced me to stores I'd never heard of before. I also really appreciated her follow up email with many other stores I can check out on my own when I return to New York. She also gave us many suggestions for different food choices. She is the quintessential New Yorker, even though she's originally from California. You can't go wrong by booking a tour with Suzanne.
SUZANNE was really accomodating due to us not being able to make it to the Saturday tour. Susanne offered us an earlier tour on the Sunday which we where really happy about. One of the girls bought a gorgeous long red woollen coat, for $65 and found out the designer sells them for over $1000, bargain!.
Great company, great tour guide, great bargains! I would recommend this for sure! Booking another trip in June!
Traveling with a friend, but not ‘joined at the hip’ in terms of what we each wanted to do in NYC, she persuaded me to tag along on this unusual shopping trip. I had no real intention of buying, although I do love clothes, and appreciate vintage quality. I just thought it would make a change from my usual history/architecture/gallery oriented days out. But it was so much more!
Suzanne started with a kind of briefing in which she checked out our style preferences, got to know us a little and gave us options for the trip. She was very professional, but friendly and fun, and she really does know her stuff! She knows what you are likely to find where, and tailors the shops you visit to what she thinks will be the best for your requirements. The thrift and vintage stores we visited were really interesting, and there was just so much beautiful stuff to try on! She gave sound advice on colour, quality and appropriate price, and was expert at rooting out that day’s best designer buys! What a treat to shop with a real New Yorker!
My friend found a gorgeous hand-made Vogue jacket for a steal - and I came away with a Kate Spade bag, a double layer silk top in the most perfect colour, a fitted wool jacket (€30!) and another wool slouch jacket which I wore out that night.
It was such fun - and a real insight into another side of New York. I just wish I’d had a bigger suitcase! Thanks Suzanne!
“Transformed my "athleisure-wearing" niece into a stylin' lady"
We enjoyed our shop til you drop outing with Suzanne. My millennial niece works for an athleisure company which lends itself to very casual attire. She picked up several dressier pieces that made it out on the NYC nightlife scene that evening! Thank-you Suzanne for a fun afternoon.
“Something different, special, very fun for curious shoppers!"
I recently spent four days in NYC with a large, multi-generational group of family members. In the mix of typical NYC activities for visitors, this tour stood out as a memorable, something different/something special experience for two of the college-aged girls, one an experienced vintage shopper and the other a novice. They both found and purchased things that they have since received many compliments on. I expected the tour to be enjoyable for me but not really "my thing," but the experience really opened my eyes: I found it very interesting and fun, much more so than shopping all the usual stores, all the usual merchandise. Our tour group included an NYC resident, who I envy because she can go back to these places any time!
Suzanne's tour was well-planned, stopping at a variety of thrift/vintage shops (who knew there was so much variety in thrift shops?) in an easily walkable area. When we mentioned we hadn't had breakfast, Suzanne pointed out Tal Bagels, where we had a great bagel with the loxiest of lox spreads. Heaven. (We caught up with the group at the next shop.)
We also appreciated the "insider's list" Suzanne gave us of additional unique and interesting shops in the city, as well as a list, map, and description of her favorite places to go for certain foods/food experiences in the city.

“$30 Chanel camisole!"
Suzanne was a fantastic guide! She showed me some really great vintage shops and I found so many great finds. A shearling military liner coat, Chanel camisole ($30), 80's cashmere shirt dress, cashmere sweater ($18), 70's track suit, 60's peacock dress. She even suggests trying new styles you might not pick for yourself - and you are so pleasantly surprised. Her vintage seeking skills allowed me to find 8 quality, stylish vintage pieces in just a few hours - like a vintage heat seeking missile Suzanne gets you where you need to be. Her guides and advice are super too. Thanks Suzanne!
Suzanne specializes in true vintage but was happy to accommodate me as a teen with a smaller budget looking for some cool thrift finds. She happily spent the afternoon showing me around and I found tons of great pieces within my budget, and got to know a lot more about the city that I wouldn’t have gotten out of any guide book! In addition she left me with a list of other places I could go to as well as all the info for the ones we went to. She’s friendly, knowledgeable, and good at her job! 10/10 would recommend!
Suzanne was amazing. She communicated often two days before the tour, so the details on where to meet was easy to follow. Within ten minutes of talking with her, it was clear that she knew her stuff. More importantly, she listened to us and customized the tour based on what we were interested in. Suzanne was also honest about what looked good and what didn't. Result: fab vintage jewelry, Italian boots and vintage handbag, and a amazing dress from St. John!
This was part of a birthday trip for my niece, so Suzanne made sure she got the diva treatment. Our last stop was right up her alley. I much appreciated the personal attention.
Would definitely go with Suzanne again next time we need an insider's guide to the city.
“She found a place that had $28 Jimmy Choo shoes!"
My boyfriend and I had so much fun with her. She showed us all of these different places that I would never have noticed before and that had really interesting finds. She made the trip enjoyable not only with the places she took us to, but also with fun conversation :). I highly recommend a trip with her. She is an actual New Yorker who can really show you those hidden gems in the city. And... for those of you who are wondering about the $28 Jimmy Choo shoes in the title (I know I would be if I were reading this review)... unfortunately they did not fit me :(. But... it will fit some other incredibly lucky person... and it might just be you lol
