What do you get when you mix a pop star with a jewelry designer and add a dash of thrift? Szeki. Bored with her music career, CK (pronounced just like it sounds) left her high profile career as a pop star to design jewelry and open her own boutique on the Lower East Side.
CK's pieces are organic in design and she uses basic metals to offer affordable priced pieces to her customers. Beyond her jewelry line Szeki is filled with exciting finds. It is the only boutique ZTrend has discovered thus far where new clothing inventory cycles weekly. That's right, weekly! Most boutiques stock their racks seasonally, but not at Szeki, variety has been key to her success. In addition to her weekly fashion finds she carries her own label "7115" made from super soft cotton jersey and silks: baby-tees at $15 & dressy tops starting at $35.
Szeki opened its doors in August of 2008 and has shown stability even through these tight economic times. CK sits in the bird-cat seat with her buyer having ties to the fashion industry in Hong Kong. She receives freshly chosen inventory from around the globe. Szeki styles are fresh and prices are low. This is a shop to remember if you are seeking to shop for quality clothing at extremely reasonable prices.
