Beautiful boutique cruise and sail events are perfect for local New Yorkers and tourists alike. Whether you chose a schooner or a yacht, Classic Harbor Line provides a leisurely way to tour New York City waterside, spend time with a friend, and discover local New York State food and drink.

Classic Harbor Line has hosted private charters and chic themed events utilizing small local businesses for the past fifteen years. Each cruise is special, offering breathtaking views of New York landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge, designed by John Augustus Roebling.

Classic Harbor Line has boats located in the Florida Keys, Newport, Rhode Island and New York City’s trendy Chelsea Piers. From Pier 62 at 23rd Street, Classic Harbor Line operates two eighty-foot 1890's-style pilot schooners, Adirondack and Imagine, along with a striking 1920’s-style commuter yacht, the Manhattan.

All of their boats were custom built by the family-run Scarano Boat Building Company, based in Bethlehem just south of Port Albany on the Hudson River. Each ship is made from handsome teak wood, boasting modern amenities in old-world design.

Classic Harbor Line offers it all: stunning views of landmark locations, specialty experiences highlighting local food and beverage purveyors, a chance to sail away--if only for a bit. Invite a friend, and experience New York again and again.

Most of the leisure cruises range in price from $40 to $85, depending upon the theme and cruise length. Every cruise serves complimentary beverages, including soda, beer, and wine. Classic Harbor Line’s signature sparkling wine, private-labeled at America’s oldest winery--Brotherhood Winery, established in 1839 in Washingtonville, New York--is a must-try.

Two-hour Sunset Cruises and City Lights Cruises are offered daily. If you are one for excitement, you’d be most at home on the main deck of one of the schooners, taking in open air and amazing views. You’ll have unmatched photo opportunities of the Statue of Liberty, downtown Battery Park, and the Brooklyn Bridge from the water, as you glide down the Hudson River to Battery Park, turning at the famous Water Club Restaurant on the East River.

The 80-foot Manhattan offers extended two-and-a-half hour leisure cruises weekly and bi-weekly. Experience the beauty of the Manhattan skyline while you sample from delectable menus, comprised of a wide variety of choices from small local food producers. ZTrends favorites include the Chelsea Picnic Brunch Cruise, the Afternoon Tea Cruise, and the Afternoon Wine Tasting Cruise! Chelsea Picnic Brunch Cruise lasts 2 3/4 hours and runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day (June to August). Featured Chef Wayne Chin sources fresh local produce from the Manhattan Fruit Exchange to fill fruit, salad, and sandwich platters. Fresh breads from Sarabeth's Kitchen, assorted pickled treats from the famous upstate Rick's Picks, rootbeer from Ithaca Beer Company and small-batch Fat Witch Brownies offer you a grand taste of New York.

Afternoon Tea runs every Saturday and Sunday from now through January first. Chelsea T Salon provides a well-rounded selection of top-quality loose-leaf teas and custom blends. Other Chelsea Market purveyors and New York State food producers help build the mouth-watering menu, including traditional English tea sandwiches, buttery pastries, muffins, cookies, and local farmstead cheeses, fruits, and fruit spreads.

Wine tasting cruises are of two varieties: you might choose the full circle cruise around Manhattan Island (2 3/4 hours) on Saturdays, or the two hour cruise around Roosevelt Island offered Mondays and Saturdays. Both cruises run from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Wendy Crispell, a former chef and wine expert from Wallkill, New York, lends her expertise in exploring wines from local New York vineyards, with a focus on different local wine regions. Wines are paired with traditional food tastings inspired by the 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson’s Voyage. Wine lovers rest easy—new cruises are designed monthly to assure a fresh look at local vineyard offerings. And, if wine is not your drink of choice, perhaps the Beer & Cheese Cruise or the Sushi Sake Cruise will float your boat?
