You will be impressed with the quality and design of these beautiful knits woven from the finest yarns spun around the world. Margaret O'Leary, aka "Yarn Chef" has been designing sumptuous knitwear since 1989 and will tell you "It's all in the details." Her brand includes a range of apparel, not just knits. Clean lines and comfy fabrics in soft neutral hues layer beautifully together, creating an elegant style that is California chic.

Margaret O'Leary is no stranger to knitwear having been raised in the lush countryside of County Kerry Ireland where beautiful hand knits are a wardrobe staple. In 1989 O'Leary, aka "Yarn Chef" set up shop in her San Francisco apartment and throughout the years has continued to flourish into thirteen boutiques today, mostly on the West Coast.

A combination of clean lines and comfy fabrics offered in a range of sophisticated neutrals, layer beautifully together. A true California chic esthetic that is understated, depicting an elegant casual life-style. Fabrics and yarns chosen for their supreme quality and touch, are sourced from around the world to include Japanese cotton (machine washable), woven satin, Scottish cashmere, Merino wool, silk, and linen.

O'Leary is involved in every aspect of the design process and she will be the one to tell you, "It's all in the details." Each garment features an unexpected embellishment — a little special touch, whether its in the fine picot trim, meticulous pleating, seam detailing, ribbed cuffs or delicate lacy pointelle hemline. The most discrete detail of them all, each piece is adorned with her logo-etched signature mother of pearl button.

This luxury clothing line includes a range of women's apparel, not only knits. In addition to knitwear you will find a variety of dresses, tees and bottoms to pair with your favorite piece. Delicate light-weight knits made of cotton and linen are cozy and cool in the spring and summer months, while plush chunky knits are a favorite in the fall and winter. New merchandise arrives bi-monthly and include a seasonal holiday and resort capsule line.
