Young parents and “little ones” alike will fall in love with Piccolini, a sweet boutique filled with adorable gift-able items and clothing for newborns and toddlers. New York born and bred, Owner, Alexandra Zagami treasures the tradition of being a part of the neighborhood and watching families grow. Her love for rock music inspires the store’s classic Rock 'n' Roll playlist, and is reflected on graphic tees and onesies sporting nostalgic bands: Beetles, Wu-Tang and RUN DMC. Mentored by Tory Burch and Aden and Anise, Zagami introduces Piccolini's own private label of New York City themed baby-tees made from 100% organic cotton, like her savory and playful NYC Hot Dog and Pretzel t-shirt, a twist on the popular I "heart" NY perfect for kids.

Zagami appeals to the imagination of both the parent and the child, stocking an extensive assortment of modern illustrated picture books. Some are based on popular culture films, while others tell about New York's history. There are also timeless classic Dr. Seuss titles similar to her first edition of "And to Think That I saw It on Mulberry Street," she has sentimentally displayed in the shop's window—a present from her mother in memory of childhood bedtime stories.

Consciousness of price, safety and the environment, Zagami does her research and talks first-hand to mommy bloggers, sourcing non-toxic choices, mostly Made In U.S.A. that are just as fun to give as they are to receive. Sure to make everyone smile are the humorous pacifiers in handlebar mustache and hip hop grillz designs. You will also find traditional baby things—plushy soft stuffed animal toys, colorful mini-sized shades with protective UVA and UVB lenses, pretty hair accessories and birthstone jewelry for little girls.

Keeping it fresh, the shop's inventory is replenished and updated weekly with new discoveries. Zagami encourages gift-givers to personalized it with a few fun items and not blow their budget one big one. This also allows her to take artistic liberties during her gift-wrapping moment where she will hand-craft a creative package using pink, green and brown tissue paper - colors that remind her of eating seven-layered rainbow cake in grandfather's neighborhood bakery.
