Atelier Cologne introduces a fragrance line as French as can be, made in Grasse, France, created in Paris. Using over 90% natural ingredients, Atelier Cologne defines the essences of fresh citrus while unveiling delicate hints of floral, aromatic spices and incense. Single origin plant-based raw materials are sourced from around the world, where flowers, grasses and herbs are found growing in the wild; unlike those raised in a greenhouse or synthetic fragrances made in a lab. Perfectly paired with each scent, behind every bottle of Atelier Cologne is a story inspiring beauty and intrigue. Perfumes, candles and soaps are exquisitely packaged; adorned with leather touches and custom monogramming in silver or gold. Atelier Cologne's fragrances are formulated to be non-gender specific, each a delicate bouquet appealing to the senses without being excessively sweet or bitter; a truly unparalleled luxurious fragrance.

In 2009, after years of creating unforgettable fragrances for designers such as Kenzo, Hermes and Jimmy Choo, husband and wife team Sylvie Ganter and Gerard Camme launched their very own fragrance house, Atelier Cologne, coining the name cologne absolute.
To fully appreciate Atelier Cologne's, cologne absolute, one must embrace what defines a fragrance by the scent strength, ingredients used, and production process employed. The percentage of essential oil in a fragrance is what declares a fragrances potency: eau du toilettte, has a concentration of 5%-10%; perfume, 10%-15%; pure perfume, over 15%. The generic meaning for eau de cologne is a fragrance formulated with less than 5% essential oil. Unlike the fragrance's strength, the word cologne was originally termed, to describe a spirit-citrus fragrance, combined with multiple floral mono-essences: a fragrance originating back in 1709, in Cologne, Germany, by Giovanni Maria Farina, an Italian perfume maker from Valle Vignezzo; who had created the very first bottle eau de Cologne, in honor of his new hometown, Cologne, in memory of the citrus-filled morning spring air during his youth.
Unlike scents produced in a laboratory that sit on the skin's surface and smell the same on everyone, Atelier Cologne's unique cologne absolute is designed to blend with your body's natural scent, resulting in a different fragrance on everyone. Atelier Cologne, made from 90% natural ingredients, is also the last known fragrance house to use single origin plant-based raw materials originating from where they are found growing around the world naturally: geranium, South Africa; Rose, Turkey; neroli, Morocco; orange, Italy; vanilla, Madagascar; tonka beans, incense and citrus, Greece; amber accord, made from a blend of scents, including Italian orchids. Scents are then formulated in Grasse, France; renowned for over two centuries for their superior perfume making techniques.
Inspiration for each scent begins with a timeless story shared behind every bottle. For Atelier Cologne, designing a fragrance is a conceptual process, where in the end it is not only a magnificent scent, but a scent that evokes fond memories each time it is worn. Fragrances are non-gender specific and highly concentrated, designed to be fresh and vibrant without overpowering the senses. Wear one alone, or layer several together to create your own scent. Atelier Cologne's fine cologne absolute contains more than 15% essential oil, and is the very first balanced perfume that is long lasting, produced using an advanced fractionation process to extract specific aromatic notes from live plants.
Whether you spritz or splash, Atelier Cologne is distinct, right down to the manufacturing of the brand’s signature vintage-inspired twist-off bottle recreated for Atelier Cologne by Pochet du Courval, French glass-makers since 1623.
Atelier Cologne is on track to unveil one new fragrance annually. Each scent requires two to three years to create and is sold in a variety of sizes: 30mL travel size bottles are neatly fitted into soft Tunisian leather jackets available in aubergine, turquoise or violet; 100mL and 200mL sizes include leather lids, crafted by one of Paris' oldest watchband makers. Tunisian leather cases and lids may be custom monogrammed while you wait; heat embossed with your preference of metallic silver or gold fonts. For those who cannot decide on just one of Atelier Cologne's delicious scents, indulge in one of the several perfume boxed sets available in a variety of bottle sizes. Sets are tastefully packaged in royal blue Venetian boxes, finished with an aubergine leather bow.
Purchase Atelier Cologne's signature scents for your bath or home. Aromatic vegetable wax candles are poured into majestic amethyst glass vessels with a 50 hour burn time. Plant based soaps are formulated for sensitive skin, made with pure shea butter, palm oil and aloe; making them excellent for shaving.
