This sweet jewelry boutique features a discriminating selection of beautiful antique and vintage Jewelry, as well as vintage Hollywood style ladies accessories. Reverie NYC is well hidden in the basement of the Antique Showplace Center — a 12 story building that was once renowned for its opulent antique dealers. Walk one flight down and turn right through the welcoming white french doors where you will meet shop owner, Alison Woodward, surrounded by lots and lots of beautiful jewelry and objects dating from 18th C. through 1970s. It's like being in a vintage lovers jewelry closet — the kind I have always wanted.
Self-taught on-the-job, Woodward's past experience awards her with the savvy expertise it takes to run her own jewelry business with her keen knowledge of fine estate jewelry, as well understanding the fashionable past decades. For the past 12 years she has been creating her very own line of beautiful statement jewelry: necklaces, bracelets and earrings — all made from discarded vintage parts and pieces in disrepair. The beauty of her own designs can be seen in her ability to balance form and combine color, constructing flawlessly unique pieces for today's wardrobe.
Reverie's carefully curated jewelry collection dates from the mid 1800s through the 1970s where 80% of the inventory is priced under $100, with the average price found between $25 and $65. Antique estate and special occasion jewelry in gold, platinum and sterling settings boasts brilliant gemstones such as diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires. Notable eras cover Georgian (1714), Victorian (1837), Art Nouveau (1890) and Art Deco (1915) with prices reaching as high as $3,000. There is a little something for everyone (affordably priced) among the beautiful selection of vintage jewelry and lovely goodies.
Reverie's proprietary jewelry cleaner makes everything sparkle! Formulated without harsh and harmful chemicals makes it safe to use on your finest jewels as well as your fun costume jewelry.
