Heights + Kenchi goes beyond the ordinary and into individuality with an innovative edge to menswear. The company’s new retail space, The Standing room, carries an array of tailored pieces manufactured locally in New York City's garment district as well as in-house alterations and tailoring. Specializing in bespoke shirts and suits, customers will additionally find ready-to-wear dress shirts, ties and cufflinks. With colorful and floral prints and retro charm, the shop is a perfect spot for professionals eager to add a touch of youth and personality to their wardrobe.

Originally interested in finance, Kenchi, self-taught in design, changed course to a career in fashion by seizing the opportunity to learn design industry programs during office off hours--working his way up from receptionist to intern, to freelancing for sportswear and high-end design companies. In 2012 he launched the brand, Heights + Kenchi, clothing befitting a gentleman of any age who craves personal flair in his professional attire. Kenchi’s inspiration for his collection is derived from his non-traditional taste in professional threads for the field--nailing a look that is both sharp and youthful for the creative executive.

The Standing Room designs for fall and spring seasons. Shirts and suits are made from the finest specialty European shirting and suiting fabrics such as mercerized cotton, Oxford cloth, Scottish linen, silk, wool flannel and worsted, to name but a few. Using traditional tailoring methods, custom order clients enjoy private fittings at Heights + Kenchi's Manhattan based Haberdashery, or may be arranged by appointment in the comfort of the home or office.

Whether the purchase is a made-to-measure suit, or an off-the-rack Scottish plaid, clients complete their penchant for fashion from a selection of ascots, handkerchiefs, boutonnieres and complimentary monograms. It is the attention to the details that make a difference. Every man can proclaim his individuality, pulling together a style that is his own by choosing shirt particulars, ties to his liking, and cufflinks too.

The Standing Room, brought to you by Heights + Kenchi, combines traditional artisanship with unique designs, providing fresh professional appearance that can stand up to the big boys at your next meeting.
