Entering Limited Supply one first notices how aptly named this East Village shop is. There is truly a limited supply, yet it is smartly organized and offers great variety. You can see a $60 pair of special edition Van’s sitting under a $400 YSL suit. Former Armani Exchange accessories designer Yevgeniy Tsarkov opened the store in September 2009 for the sole purpose of having a place where customers can get items that are young and hip, no matter the price or whether its “high-end”. Limited Supply has a focus on Japanese jean brands and selvage style denim; a type of denim that has a clean edge on the out-seam and usually has a different color thread to give subtle detail when the jean is cuffed.
No matter what your bank statement says, there will be something for you here, from high-end brands such as Hermés and Prada to Nike and Armani Exchange. Coupled with a friendly, laid-back staff and good selection of bags, shoes, and accessories, Limited Supply is a must browse in the East Village. Consignments are taken by appointment only and store hours are conveniently open until 9pm every day.
