Conveniently located near Pratt in Brooklyn, Urban Vintage welcomes students and home owners alike. Upon entering, you can't help but notice that the place is buzzing with creative energy - artists sit at laptop friendly tables sipping coffee drinks. The cafe has been open for a mere two months, started up by the two young sisters Elizabeth and Emile who grew up across the street from the cafe's location. Urban Vintage has been embraced by the locals with open arms having changed the complexion of the neighborhood by replacing an old neglected bodega. The cafe has warm, homey feel while still maintaining an air elegance with its high ceilings, exposed brick walls, select vintage furnishings and decor. Just about everything inside the cafe is for sale, much of which would make lovely gifts, like a party deck of cocktail cards costing only $10. The cafe supports local artists and entrepreneurs selling items like hand-made baby clothing to gift cards. in fact, included on Urban Vintage's menu is Early Bird Granola that is produced by one of the neighborhood artist.
The food is delicious, featuring vegan and wheat free products from local bakeries. Breads and croissants from Balthazar on Spring Street in Manhattan are delivered fresh to the cafe daily. Scrumptious muffins, pastries, and desserts are displayed on pedestal stands, tempting the customers. Urban Vintage is open for breakfast and lunch and serves healthy cafe food such as fresh goat cheese salads, quiche, salads, and waffles for breakfast. With such a great atmosphere and delicious food, you can't go wrong!
